Bread That Edures

Weekend Messages

Ephesians 4:1-16 John 6:24-35 In the daily grind of life, we are so often taught to climb the ladder of success by stepping on each other, focusing only on our own wants and needs. Our selfish ambitions have gotten us into trouble. Christ leads us in the ways of happiness and peace, sustaining us with His life-giving bread.

Scripture References: John 6:24-35, Ephesians 4:1-16

Whether you have attended church your whole life
or you’ve never been before, you are welcome here!
Worship is where we seek God with a joyful and open
heart. Our services (when we normally meet on campus) follow an order and style similar to many traditional
Christian faith communities. It always includes an inspiring message,
prayer, and music, as well as Christian Liturgy. We would be honored to have you visit us (for the time being) online through our website, on our Facebook page, and on our YouTube channel.

We are located at:
606 East Davis Street
Burlington, NC 27215

Our (online)services begin at:
11:00 am every Sunday

When we do meet on campus, most people arrive a few minutes before eleven. We serve coffee before and after the 10:55 am service.
Please join us online as we come together in worship and prayer.

April 2020 Pastor’s Note

To trust in the Lord amid this crisis is to experience and bear witness to the power of Jesus Christ.

March 2020 Pastor’s Note

“We can always do more once we have prayed the Lord’s Prayer, but we can hardly say we have prayed at all until we have prayed as Jesus taught us to pray.”

February 2020 Pastor’s Note

It is the Holy Spirit that will equip our church staff and lay leadership to be bold and intentional in sharing our faith to others. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, I challenge every member of Davis Street to join with me this year 2020 in five specific ways.

January 2020 Pastor’s Note

As we begin another new year, Rev De Jesus invites the people of Davis Street UMC to re-commit our lives to the Lordship of Jesus and to champion these three major priorities.
