Ashley Andersen and Brittany Lynn both joined Davis Street United Methodist Church on Sunday, January 20, 2019. They were the first two attendees of the early worship service who actually joined our church during the 8:45 service. They were introduced during the 11:00 worship as our newest members. Both young women were treated to lunch at Golden Corral by a group of church members who welcomed them into our church family.

Ashley grew up in Cary, NC and has two brothers and three sisters. Her care team is trying to get her into cosmetology school. She really enjoys doing makeup, hair and nails. Arts and crafts are a lot of fun for her. Ashley also likes reading, especially mysteries, with Jonathan Kellerman being one of her favorite authors.

Interested in working possibly with the youth or children, Ashley is excited about being at Davis Street.

Brittany Lynn was raised in Charlotte, NC and has just been in Burlington since August. A laid back person, Brittany enjoys hanging with her friends, roller skating, going to church, reading, swimming, shopping and keeping up with fashion.

Brittany has already been singing in our chancel choir. The alto section is happy to have her!

Both Ashley and Brittany were invited to Davis Street UMC by Earl Bryan. They all met at the Together House  and Thataways. Earl is certainly a “goodwill ambassador” for our church!

Best wishes, Ashley and Brittany! Your Davis Street church family hopes that you grow in your faith while you’re a part of our congregation.
